Volta Region, Ghana

Fresh water well installation, school building, and sanitation projects such as latrines and wash station construction to improve hygiene.

Hands-on, immersive cultural learning includes taking part in authentic tribal ceremonies, learning traditional cooking techniques, visiting the renowned Kente weavers of Kpetoe, a visit to the Wili Waterfalls — the tallest in West Africa — and visiting the Tafi-Atome Monkey Sanctuary. For those who wish to incorporate a historical tour into the program, a guided, interpretive visit to the Elmina and Cape Coast Slave Castles can be arranged — both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Quito, Ecuador

Service project opportunities abound in this majestically beautiful country. Working on infrastructure projects in a local center for at-risk youth, teams will be able to complete projects such as building a safe playground, installing safety equipment, and general work to improve the facilities.

Hands-on, immersive cultural learning opportunities include a culinary tour and cooking class, a fun visit to “The Middle of the World,” and full day excursion to explore nearby Cotopaxi Volcano.
